We deeply value the presence of all children and youth at Riverside and seek to be a vital part of their faith experience. We strive to be a church where children can find their voice, listen with their heart and learn social justice by serving others.

On Sunday mornings, children join the worship service through “Children’s Time” with our pastor. Then, grades K-Middlers are dismissed to engage in a lively Sunday school curriculum, where art, dramatics and sensory experiences encourage discussion and interaction. We use  Bible based stories, with relevant references for today’s times.

A staffed nursery is available during the entire worship service for ages newborn through age 4.

We  have two youth groups: One for Middlers and another for High School. Both groups  include youth from our sister church, Bethel Community Church, United Church of Christ, in White Salmon.

Summer 2013, children grades K-5th are invited to participate in Renew, the “Green” VBS. Dates are Monday-Friday, July 8th- July 12th from 9AM until Noon. Renew is an environmentally-focused VBS program that inspires kids to grow in faith, have fun and change the world as they practice the stewardship of creation! In this action packed VBS  kids will be learning about the Parable of the Sower, singing, planting and engaging different intelligences while learning why it’s a spiritual value to be green in their homes, the community and the world.

VBS is $10 for the week . Checks are payable to RCC.

Renew VBS registration Please print and bring with your registration fee to: Riverside church, 317 State Street, or mail to PO Box 656, Hood River, OR 97031
